February, 2021

This is the time of the month when Green Dealflow publishes its transaction activity report in the solar and wind industries for the month of February, available here. The report is on our transaction database, which tracks equity transactions of solar and wind projects from around the world and it is possible for you to have an insight into where the market is going.

This month Green Dealflow kicks-off its new feature “Upcoming tenders & Options” that you can download here. Our new feature is a allows our customers to have an overview of the upcoming tenders and auctions in different countries, with a focus of solar and wind especially. This new feature can help our followers to prepare their strategy and the next moves in the market, having an overview of the future governmental inputs in the Renewable Energy market.

February 2020: The number of transactions for the overall market counts for a total of 34 transactions, amounting to 15.5 GW, surprisingly a decrease in the number of deals closed, but with an astounding capacity transacted.

The capacity of projects is increasing in GW, the deals signed are less than the last month, but keeping the pace at such a level, that enables us to say that the market is busy, and the appetite of investors and developers is focused on increasing the capacity of projects and to power more and more people soon enough to secure the provision of green energy and reach the Climate goals.

As mentioned in the last month, the market is going towards a peak to be reached very soon, and probably will last longer than we expect. In fact, we see everywhere more and more new regulations, incentives and

The solar industry performance this month is reaching a total of 19 deals, with an overall capacity of 6.4 GW . Among the most active countries, the U.S. remains our top country, leading the way with 5 transactions. We then have the presence of Italy, one of Green Dealflow focus countries nowadays,with 3 transactions closed.Following Italy, Spain Portugal and Greece, closed 2 deals each.

In the wind industry, for 15 deals signed, the capacity reached amounts for a total of 6.1 GW suggests a stable trend in the activities of this month. In the top countries, we see the U.S., Germany Finland and Poland, another of our focus markets in the past months. The Irish market is also giving us much satisfaction in the wind industry, with 3000 MW developed and being the top country by capacity. The deal signed is one of the biggest developers, Iberdrola.

Green energy transition is a matter at the core of policy in every government, not only, but many more private companies see the benefits of investing in such long-term profitable and goal-oriented projects, aiming at making the world better. Thanks to our new upcoming auctions and tenders, you will be able to visualize where the market is setting the stage for skyrocketing
